Mineralization Comments

Jan 24, 2011 (A Wilson) - Exceptionally clean anorthosite is present in places throughout the anorthosite, but no substantial thicknesses of such material were identified. Clean anorthosite is interlayered with mafic and ultramafic bands. Where the anorthosite is not layered, gneissic gabbroic anorthosite occurs. Usually this has colour indices in the range of 10 to 18, but some areas have bulk composition around 8 to 10.
