Access Description: From highway 11 in Trout Creek turn northeast onto Main Street. Follow for 0.8km and turn southeast. Continue for 8km to quarry road. Turn north and follow for 600m. Open cut is on the east slope of a hill.

Jan 25, 2011 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite dike is approximately 8 m wide and is exposed in a shallow pit and stripping which extends for about 30 m. The dike strikes 40° and dips about 55° to the northwest.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 25, 2011 (A Wilson) - The pegmatite dike is crudely zone from plagioclase+/- biotite at the margin, to pure quartz at the core. Magnetite and a small amount of pyrite were observed in material from the dump. Grab samples collected by J. McAuley returned an average normalized SiO2 value of 99.96% by XRF analysis. All four samples attain the specifications required for silicon metal based on the XRF analyses.
