Year Tonnes Commodities Reference Comment
1914 300000 About 300,000 red soft-mud brick were made each season of 4 months. The plant is about forty years old and has changed locations several times as the clay became exhausted. It was owned by Taylor, Willoughby and Burgess before being purchased in 1914. Only 2 to 3 feet of clay is used as it becomes stony below. Sand, which must be added to made soft-mud brick, is hauled seven miles, mostly in the late fall.
