Point Location Description: Point on Hwy 7, 5.7 km N of Ashton.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: From Hwy 7 and the junction of the road to Huntley, continue on Hwy 7 for 3.4 ml from the junction. Road cuts expose Black River limestone containing a few crinoids and shell fossils. White, massive calcite and some dogtooth spar are also present. An old quarry, in a field just N of the road cut, exposes similar rock.
Mineral and fossil location : calcite + crinoids and shells. Old quarry nearby.
