Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Medium to coarse-grained banded calcitic marble (about 260 ft wide and 40 ft thick) lies between hornblende gneiss and gabbro. The marbles are white, pink and blue, the latter being most notable but not evenly-distributed. This blue colour fades when exposed to the weather.
