Sep 15, 2015 (A Wilson) - The marble is estimated at 6,000 ft. (max) thick outcrops in the area between Lanark and Watson's Corners. It is coarse, brown-weathering and impure; the main impurity being tremolite which varies the colour of the marble from white to flesh red.
Sep 15, 2015 (A Wilson) - Sample 157 was collected in 1938. The analysis returned 1.54% SiO2, 0.22% Al2O3, 0.20% Fe2O3, 2.93% MgO, 51.34% CaO Sample L7 assayed 1.6% SiO2, 0.1% Al2O3, 0.20% Fe2O3, 3.8% MgO, 48.8.% CaO. Sample L8 assayed 1.3% SiO2, 0.2% Al2O3, 0.20% Fe2O3, 3.1% MgO, 50.0.% CaO
