May 02, 2011 (A Wilson) - Mica is found in a vein within an interbed of rusty paragneiss up to 4 ½ feet thick. The country rock in the area is white, crystalline limestone. The bedding strikes N 15-30° E and dips 35°E.

Mineralization Comments

May 02, 2011 (A Wilson) - The phlogopite is described as forming books ranging from less than 1 inch square to as much as 5 by 7 inches in size. Satterly estimated that the vein appeared to have ranged from 4 to 1 inches wide. The vein did not appear to persist within the marble. The phlogipite was described as being free of inclusions, but badly warped and zoned.
