Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Nepheline syenite is noted to occur in an area of syenite gneiss. The rock is gneissic and all the nepheline has been altered to felted areas of gieseckite. Microcline forms the bulk of the feldspar. See GR 26 for a more detailed description.
