Oct 28, 2011 (A Wilson) - Phlogopite mica occurs in a basic pyroxenite pegmatite interbanded with leuco-granite gneiss. The bank of rock strikes north at the south end, swings northeastward at its north end and can be traced with ¼ mile. The phlogopite occurs irregularly throughout the length

Mineralization Comments

Oct 28, 2011 (A Wilson) - The dike contains red and green apatite crystals up to 4 inches across and phlogopite crystals up to 1 foot across, as well as feldspar, calcite and titanite. In parts of the dike, phlogopite is found in abundance, but is interrupted by partings. It is difficult to find good quality phlogopite at the site.
