Mineralization Comments

Jul 06, 2011 (A Wilson) - Uranothorite occurs in the pegmatite, especially near the contacts and where biotite is abundant. Chip samples taken across 18.3 m of the dike by E. Price in 1955 assayed 0.02% U308 (radiometric). A grab sample collected from the road cut by the OGS in 1980 returned 580 ppm U308 and 1260 ppm Th. A sample collected by E. Price and sent to the Mines Branch in Ottawa returned 0.14% radiometric equivalent and estimated U content.
