Jul 05, 2011 (A Wilson) - The Raglan Hills complex has been metamorphosed to middle to upper amphibolite facies, substantially altering the original mineralogy and textures of the intrusive rocks. The predominant rock type in the intrusion is medium- to coarse-grained, massive to gneissic metagabbro composed of variable proportions of hornblende and plagioclase. Accessory minerals in the Raglan Hills complex include sphene, apatite, carbonate, zircon, quartz, olivine, and hypersthene.
