Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Just south of Parkhurst Lake is a massive, coarse - grained granite containing disseminated magnetite. Northwards, towards the crest of the anomaly, a light - coloured gneiss contains streaks and disseminations of magnetite. It is well - foliated and may represent a syenitized paragneiss. Across the strike the gneiss passes into a highly contorted migmatite.
