Nov 07, 2013 (A Wilson) - Flake graphite occurs in a band of marble cut by pegmatite and is exposed along the side of a ridge adjacent to the road. The main graphite zone strikes N40W and dips 25NE. The adjacent paragneiss to the east also carries disseminated graphite flakes over a width of 40 ft.

Nov 07, 2013 (D Laidlaw) - A 3 m chip sample collected by the ODM in 1943 assayed 2.97% graphite. The graphite occurs in flakes up to 3/8 of an inch in diameter, and averaged 1/8 inch in size.
