Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - Iron occurs in three northeast trending lenses of magnetite-bearing skarns over a strike length of 2000 feet. There is a narrow sill of albite granite from the Wendlsey Lake granite along the southern contact of the deposit A band of tremolite-bearing marble contains minor magnetite over a maximum width of 5 feet.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - A 7 foot channel sample collected by P.E. Giblin (ODM) assayed: 47.23% Fe, 0.122% S, 0.027% P. A grab sample collected by the Ontario Department of Mines in 1951 assayed 42.69% Fe, 0.30% S, 0.07% TiO2, 0.10% P2O5 and 16.43% SiO2. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1980 assayed 40.1% Fe, 19.6% FeO, 0.04% TiO2, 0.09% P2O5 and 0.01% S. Mineralization consists of disseminated magnetite in three lenses spread along 2000 feet.
