Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The anomaly is centered over the south edge of a large hill of amphibolite.The foliation strikes S 30 W.The amphibolite is intruded by granite pegmatite and has been converted in part to migmatite. Local garnetiferous horizons were noted .Magnetite, occuring in streaks and clots as well as disseminations, reaches a maximum of 5%.The texture of the amphibolite is fine to coarse - grained and the rock has a well - banded appearance.
