1923-c1938 : Crystallite Stone Products Ltd opened a quarry on the Carfrae farm. 2,400 tons were shipped in 1928. The open cut is about 150 ft long with a 30 ft face (a similar cut was worked out earlier). 3 other small quarries have been operated on the property. Possibly, one of these is the Graebel Road Quarry (MDI31F04SW00200).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Dolomite occurs in a 20 ft bed with amphibolite on the footwall and impure marble on the hanging wall. Only paper-white dolomite was quarried, stone with a faint bluish or pink tint being discarded. A 2 inch vein of scapolite cuts the hanging wall. The dolomite was used for stucco dash.
