Access Description: A trail leads to this showing from the back of the Bancroft Window factory on Hwy 28 (S).
1920 : Morrison, Woods and Eastman shipped 2 car loads of feldspar from this deposit on lot 9. The quarry face was 30 ft in depth and the opening 150 ft wide. 1940,42 : Woods quarried 90 tons of feldspar from lots 8, 9 and 10, con 12. One coarse face of the pegmatite is immediately adjacent to the trail.

Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A relatively fine-grained granite pegmatite with amphibole, pyroxene, biotite, magnetite, pyrite, zircon and tourmaline. The extent of the coarse-grained phase is limited. No evidence of radioactivity.
