Point Location Description: Property symbol ' DD ' just S of Strayner Lake.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: Between Strayner Lake and the Monck Road is a 3/4 ml long, 700 ft wide band of nepheline syenite gneiss. It lies just N of the Monck mylonite zone. About 2 ml from the junction with Hwy 28, along the Monck Road, and 1,000 ft N of the road (and the house on the right of the road). Several exposures of mylonite on the S side of a hill.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The nepheline syenite mylonite is strongly sheared and characterized by a streaky banding, ' Eyes' and lenses of nepheline syenite in a streaky, banded, grey-black cherty mylonite matrix. Ultramylonite is also present as well as boudins of the syenite. See OGS, 1960 for a detailed description.
