Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - The marble is generally grey, fine grained, and contains local zones of amphibolite.
Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - The greyness of the marble and the presence of paragneiss and/or amphibolite in both of these areas make the marble unfavourable for filler material. Chemically the material has good qualities, and therefore with beneficiation the material may have some potential. The sample has 58.98 wt% CaO, 2.10 wt% MgO, 0.13 wt% Al2O3.
