Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - The marble is predominantly light grey and fine grained with only minor impurities disseminated throughout. Interbedded with this marble variety are grey coarse-grained and grey laminated marble units.
Oct 20, 2011 (A Wilson) - The greyness of the marble and the presence of paragneiss and/or amphibolite in both of these areas make the marble unfavourable for filler material. Chemically the material has good qualities, and therefore with beneficiation the material may have some potential. The sample has 55.01 wt% CaO, 3.87 wt% MgO, 0.29 wt% Al2O3.
