Point Location Description: Point 1.5 km NW of Bronson.

Access Description: This work examined the Bancroft Nepheline Band which extends E from Bancroft, on both sides of Hwy 500, for about 4 miles. The main development of this band is between Bancroft and the Vardy Quarry in lot 23, con 14. Gummer and Burr's paper deals mainly with this nepheline syenite band.
1946 : Gummer and Burr carried out a detailed study of the nepheline rocks of the Bancroft Nepheline Syenite band for the Aluminum Company of Canada Ltd and American Nepheline Corp Ltd. This included partial chemical analyses on surface samples and diamond-drill core.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The Bancroft nepheline band is made up of nepheline gneiss in hybrid syenite gneiss, occasionally associated with amphibolite. Mafic facies are uncommon in this band but important in the York River area to the E.
