Point Location Description: Cross symbol ' A 35 ' between Hwy 500 and York River.

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Just S of Hwy 500, 3.2 km W of the York River bridge. Take Hwy 500 E for 3.8 ml and turn right onto the Bronson Road (gravel). Drive 1.05 ml and turn left onto the Hawkins Farm road; drive 0.6 ml to the farmhouse and park. Walk past the house and up a slight hill to an old fenced farm road. Follow this to a rock bluff where the road bears left. After about 100 paces it swings back to the right and starts to climb. Near the top of the hill, still within the trees, there is a hole in the road. Check this and the left side of the road.



Exploration History

1956 : C.W. Rockwell stripped, trenched and sampled the showing (on the Hawkins farm).

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - A radioactive biotite veinlet crosscuts a complex of biotite syenite, hybrid syenite gneiss and biotite-nepheline-plagioclase gneiss. A biotite veinlet from 2.5-8.0 cm wide, about 2 m long, assayed 1.52, 0.05, 0.16 and 0.03 % U3O8. It is exposed in a small test pit.
