Point Location Description: Rock unit symbol ' 3 ' just S of dot symbol ' RA ', NE of Vardy.
Location Method: Conversion from MDI
Access Description: The showing is 40 m W of the gravel concession road 2.5 km NE of Vardy. At this point the road turns to follow the boundary between Monteagle and Dungannon.
1954 : stripping and trenching (4 trenches for a length of 80 ft) of an area 50 x 300 ft (15.2 x 91.4 m) by Norango Mines Ltd.

Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Stripping exposed a 10-28 ft wide band of marble and mica pyroxenite lying berween 2 sills of pink leuco-granite, intrusive into hornblende gneiss. Uranian thorianite occurs in 1/8 inch grains or cubes in the marble. The radioactive parts of the marble are salmon-pink in colour and cover an area about 20 x 30 ft. No assays but anomalous radioactivity was 10x-17x background.
