Oct 19, 2011 (A Wilson) - Numerous narrow quartz veins (up to 12 inches wide) are found in a local intrusive of albite granite and syenite. None of these veins returned any gold.

Oct 19, 2011 (A Wilson) - Stringers of galena were found parallel to the bedding in the marble. A grab sample of limestone taken from a waste pile by J. Satterly in 1943 assayed $1.05 gold (0.03 oz/t gold). A grab sample reportedly collected by A. Kerr assayed $37.10 Au, 52.15 oz/t Ag and 10.57% Pb
