Jan 17, 2012 (A Wilson) - Interbedded with the syenite and scapolite gneisses are narrow bands and lenticular pods of grey corundum syenite with bronze corundum crystals up to ¾ inch in diameter.

Jan 17, 2012 (A Wilson) - The corundum-bearing zone is irregular with a maximum width of 10 feet. The grad is low, averaging 2-4%. Elsewhere on the ridge, bands of corundum bearing syenite contains up to 30% corundum.
