Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Pegmatite 1 Granitic Host
Gneiss-Unsubdivided 2 Granitic Contains
Marble 3 Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Jan 18, 2012 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is located near the contact between anatectic meta-arkose and siliceous marble. The area of this contact is intruded by pyroxene granite pegmatite. All rock units are cut by a shear zone approximately 1 m in width. The pegmatite is 180 m wide at the site of the trenches but tapers to 90 m at the road. The exposed strike length of the pegmatite is 654 m.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 18, 2012 (A Wilson) - Assays from the Ambis diamond drilling returned values ranging from 0.01% U3O8 over 4.5 feet in DDH 1 to 0.073% U3O8 over 0.5 feet in DDH 3. Resampling of core from DDH 10 by Faraday Mining resulted in an assay of 0.058% U3O8 (radiometric). A grab sample collected by Faraday Mines from surface at the centre of the radioactive zone assayed 0.210% U3O8 (radiometric)(0.121% U3O8 chemical) A grab sample collected from the shear zone by the OGS (R-71-8-2) assayed 485 ppm U3O8 and 2595 ppm Th.
