Lithology Comments

Jun 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - The marble occurs as scattered outcrops along the road and in the adjacent fields. The outcrops are small and widely separated. The marble is white to light buff in colour and are coarse-grained.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - Disseminated graphite flakes constitute approximately 2% of the rock. The graphite ranges in size from 2-4 mm. Disseminated phlogopite is more evident along the road in Sebastopol Township. The phlogopite also appears as flakes ranging from 1-3 mm in size. Grab sample PM 49 returned the following analysis: 1.27% SiO2, 0.2% Al2O3, 0.3% Fe2O3, 3.6% MgO, 50.6% CaO and has a brightness of 65.5.
