This quarry was abandoned and in 1943 2 lime kilns divided it into 2 - the E quarry was 75 x 150 ft, exposing 7-9 ft; the W quarry was 325 x 190 ft, exposing 6-7 ft. 1960: Bonnechere Lime Co. Ltd. - (lot 8) quarry produced lime mainly for uranium mills in Bancroft. It was about 270 x 120 m and 3-5 m deep. 1971: quarry owned by S.G. Nelson. 1981: the quarry was owned by M.E. Tracey. 1989: Bromley Township - quarry (lot 8) was reopened on a demand basis for aggregate (used by the surrounding townships). A lower lift has been excavated into the quarry floor.
