Lithology Comments

Jun 23, 2011 (A Wilson) - This pegmatite dike is 1.5 metres wide and exposed in a road cut. At the present exposure, it approaches a syenitic composition, being composed of predominantly Kfeldspar and minor plagioclase (alkali) feldspar. Quartz, biotite and amphibole (hornblende) are minor accessory minerals. Contacts with the enclosing gneissic sodic syenite are indistinct, in places gradational.
