May 25, 2011 (A Wilson) - The marbles are coarse-grained and contain phlogopite. Layering in the marbles is emphasized by phlogopite, graphite and quartzite layers and trends N50°N and dip 20°S. The quartzite layers range from 10-20 cm in thickness and are separated by thin bands of marble.

May 25, 2011 (A Wilson) - A visual examination by Storey and Vos estimated that there was 1% graphite. The graphite occurs as disseminated flakes and irregular grey smears of fine graphite that follow the layering. The graphite forms flakes up to 5mm in size. A sample collected by Storey and Vos returned 0.50% MoS2.
