Access Description: North over Madawaska River at Jewillville. Take Jewellville road (0.9km). Take farm track to north on southeast corner of Michaelis Lake (4.6km). Park at farm and walk in northwesterly direction on farm tracks north of lake, approx 0.6km to dumps and pits.

Jun 29, 2011 (A Wilson) - Banded syenitic gneisses are cut by hornblende syenite-pegmatite dikes. Corundum was noted in the east wall of two pits. Corundum is hosted within biotite-corundum syenite gneiss. The maximum with of the corundum bearing zone is 5 feet. This zone could not be traced beyond the pits.
