Geology Comments

Aug 02, 2011 (A Wilson) - The amphibolite strikes N50E and dips 45°SE and is underlain by coarsely crystalline marble. At the contact of these two units a 4 inch seam of phlogopite mica is found in a diopside-scapolite-pyroxene-tremolite unit. Approximately 800 m o the east along strike, there is a second small showing of phlogopite in a pegmatite.
