Aug 02, 2011 (A Wilson) - The gabbro has a total length of 6 miles and a maximum width at the west end of 1.5 miles. The predominate rock types are gabbro, pyroxenite, metagabbro and hornblendite. The rock is foliated an often displays a distinct lineation. The metagabbro appears to be intruded by pyroxenite or pyroxene gabbro in a few locations.
