Aug 31, 2011 (A Wilson) - The beds strike 5°SW and dip 30°E. There is only one set of pronounced vertical joints which cut the formation N15W. Horizontal joints are present at an interval of approximately 4 feet. The stone is mottled light blue-grey in colour.
Aug 31, 2011 (A Wilson) - The stone was used as a source of local building stone and for lime-making. Parks, observed, graphite and mica was observed in the stone.
