Aug 24, 2011 (A Wilson) - Magnetite occurs within a gabbroic intrusion near its contact with a unit of dolomitic marble. All of the rock units strike southeasterly and dip 30° to the southwest. The marble is white, massive medium-grained rock. The gabbro is a rusty, friable, gneissic rock.

Aug 24, 2011 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by H. Fréchette in 1909 returned: 42.81% Fe, 0.006% P, 0.068% S and 1.37 TiO2. The mineralization consists of disseminated to massive magnetite in several narrow, conformable layers of unknown extent within gabbro.
