Access Description: Near the W shore of Black Lake, just S of the outlet bay. In 1943 access was first by wagon trail from the Kennelly farm [ Con 9, Lot 7 ], then by traversing W for 11/2 ml.

Lithology Comments

May 03, 2011 (A Wilson) - The graphite is hosted within crystalline limestone and forms approximately 1% of the composition. The graphitic limestone/marble can be traced for a length of 500 feet.

Mineralization Comments

May 03, 2011 (A Wilson) - The graphite is described as flake graphite from 1/20 to 3/20 of an inch in diameter. Satterly described the occurrence as being too low grade and too small to warrant development.
