Aug 17, 2011 (A Wilson) - The sillimanite-garnet gneiss forms a 10 foot wide band within hybrid gneisses north of the town of Mount St. Patrick. The rock is a pinkish-grey, fine-grained and banded containing abundant oval, light gray porphyroblasts of sillimanite up to 1.5 inches in length.
