Access Description: Sections of Aylmer Formation shale and sandstone / Rockliffe Formation, exposed at the N end of the township.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The Rockliffe Formation (Aylmer Formation) sandstones and shales are exposed along the Carp River in lots 22-26, con 10, in 2 ledges. Section from lot 23. There is also a section exposed on the S shore of Lake Deschenes in con 11, directly S of Quyon and inland from here on the slope of the hill. Outcrops on Badham Creek in con 12 (near its outlet into Lake Deschenes and inland at a 60 ft succession of rock ledges) illustrate the succession here.
