Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Basal (Potsdam) sandstone outcrops rarely in this area. At these localities it is an exceedingly fine-grained, white, granular sandstone which is only about 2 ft thick, maximum. On lot 20, con 8 the weathered surface is ridged and suggestive of the Cryptozoan structures seen in the Beekmantown dolomite to the E.
