Access Description: At the Chats (rapids), also at the Horse Shoe Fall in 'the same neighbourhood'. Tourmaline is also noted from Fitzroy Harbour, but with no specific location.

Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Tourmaline found in float - brown and black in quartz with calcite and mica. Small tourmaline crystals found in limestone nearby and larger black ones (with quartz and feldspar) at the Horse Shoe Fall, in the same neighbourhood.
