Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - The 9.3 m deep quarry (excavated southward into a hillside) exposes thin-bedded, fine-medium grained, shaley limestone of the middle member of the Bobcaygeon Formation. There are abundant fossils (brachiopods, trilobites ) and exceptionally large burrows. Overburden is 1-2 m thick.
