Access Description: The pits are located on the W side of a hill, about 90 m NW of the Currie farmhouse.



Exploration History

1880s : 2 prospect pits for lead and silver. 1920 or earlier : reinvestigated for barite.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Brecciated limestone (Bobcaygeon Formation) is cemented by barytes. This is soft, massive and grey-white. Minor po, py and possibly galena mineralization. See OGS 1981 for assays.
