Geological Age: Mesoproterozoic
Dec 07, 2005 (C Papertzian) - Part of a wide marble belt that has intercalated units of paragneiss and some intrusions. The marble is generally grey and medium-grained with minor impurities. Most of the marble in the belt is dolomitic with discontinuous bands of calcitic marble. Samples PM 120, 121 are described along with the road traverses in MDC 21 under the heading ' White Lake Area '; sample # 1680 is described in MDC 28.
