Access Description: Travel 5.0km northwest of the Village Inn at Renfrew on highway 60 to the hamlet of Payne. Continue 0.5km northwest to Ron Price road and turn right. Quarry access is on left 0.2km from the highway. Highway 60 entrance is flagged by RR numbers 1972-3.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by Goudge returned the following analysis: 1.72% SiO2, 0.71% Fe2O3, 0.36% Al2O3, 0.02% Ca3(PO4)2, 53.19% CaCO3 and 43.22% Mg CO3. Jamieson Lime Company reportedly shipped approximately 150 tons a week to paper mills during the summer months. Total production is unknown. Sample PM54 collected by the OGS analysed 1.00% SiO2, 0.3% Fe2O3, 0.01% Al2O3, 30.4% CaO and 21.5% MgO with a brightness of 91.0.
