Sep 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by Goudge returned the following analysis: 1.72% SiO2, 0.71% Fe2O3, 0.36% Al2O3, 0.02% Ca3(PO4)2, 53.19% CaCO3 and 43.22% Mg CO3. Jamieson Lime Company reportedly shipped approximately 150 tons a week to paper mills during the summer months. Total production is unknown. Sample PM54 collected by the OGS analysed 1.00% SiO2, 0.3% Fe2O3, 0.01% Al2O3, 30.4% CaO and 21.5% MgO with a brightness of 91.0.
