Mineralization Comments

Feb 27, 2019 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected from the site in 1899 returned an analysis of 29.43% Fe2O3, 29.78% FeO, 17.23% TiO2, 7.82% SiO2, 3.20% Al2O3, 5.67% MgO, 3.42% CaO, 0.61% Na2O, 0.17% K2O, 0.63% V2O5, 0.22% MnO, 0.10% CoO, 0.14% P2O5, and 0.06% S. The mineralization consists of a small body of disseminated to massive magnetite of unknown size. A grab sample collected in 2013 by Ontario Geological Survey staff returned an analysis of 580ppm V, 5.96% Fe2O3, 7.98% FeO, and 1.64% TiO2.
