May 11, 2013 (A Wilson) - The stone is a fine grey crystalline limestone. The stone was considered to have a fine texture and might be applicable for building purposes. It was considered to be a handsome marble.
May 11, 2013 (A Wilson) - Approximately 1800 bushels worth of lime were produced from the lime kiln during the year. The lime is described as being somewhat granular but made a hard setting mortar.
