May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - The stone is comparable to that found at the Ferguson Quarry.
May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - The limestone/marble was considered to be susceptible to take a high polish. A band of tremolitic dolomite also is found interbedded with the limestone. In many places long translucent rhomboidal columns and interlacing blades of tremolite have been observed. The rhomboids are up to 1 foot long and 1 inch across. Small specks of apatite also have been observed in the area.
