Lithology Comments

May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - An apatite-fluorite-calcite vein intruding biotite hornblende calc-silicate gneiss is radioactive over a small area. Sparse uranothorite and rare pyrite occur in the vein, as well as abundant diopside, sphene, hornblende, and biotite. The apatite-fluorite-calcite veins appear to be stratgraphically controlled and restricted to biotite hornblende calc-silicate gneiss with minor interbedded amphibolite and quartzo-feldspathic gneiss. The veins locally exhibity intrusive relatioships within1-2 m of contacts.

Dec 07, 2005 (D Laidlaw) - Host is an apatite-fluorite carbonate vein intrusive into calc-silicate gneiss, granite and amphibolite.
