May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - The limestone is very fine-grained and occurs in flat beds up to 2 feet in thickness separated by thin interbeds of calcareous shale. The material has been used for making lime for local use. (Paleozoic (Chazy) limestone)
May 13, 2013 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by Goudge (sample 117) assayed 1.98% SiO2, 0.25% Fe2O3, 0.65% Al2O3, 0.04 Ca3(PO4)2, 94.84 CaCO3 and 2.28% MgCO3.
