Circa 1938 : originally opened for dimension stone for culverts on the Grand Trunk railway (CNR). Later operated by Dominion Rock Products Ltd for lime, the stone being trucked 3 ml to the plant on lot 10, con 17.

Jun 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - The upper portion of the quarry is described as being comprised of dark brownish-grey, calcium limestone seamed with films of shale. The lower 5 feet of the quarry is thinly bedded, fine-grained brown calcium limestone not seamed with shale. The quarry was described as being 300 feet by 150 feet, exposing 6-10 ft of limestone (in beds 12-18 inches thick) with a pit in the floor exposing an additional 5 ft.
Jun 09, 2011 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected from the top 10 feet of the limestone by Goudge returned: 2.24% SiO2, 0.29% Fe2O3, 0.29% Al2O3, 0.10% Ca3(PO4)2, 93.50% CaCO3, 2.56% MgCO3.
